At Steffprint, we are proud of our printing technology. We use only the latest equipment for world leaders such as Heidelberg and Komori. This means we delivery only the highest quality of print within the tight deadlines that our customers expect.

We're equally proud of our staff. We have some of the most experienced people in the industry, and everyone works towards the common goal of customer satisfaction. Below, we list our plant for your inspection.

Pre-press

A comprehensive range of pre-press and studio equipment gives the best possible start to your job. Our equipment comprises:

  • A full complement of Apple Macintosh and PC workstations
  • Robust server infrastructure providing speed and redundancy
  • Topsetter 102 CTP system
  • Two large-format proofers
  • PDF Meta dimension workflow
  • FTP site and secure customer web site for management of larger files
Press

Continual investment means that our litho presses are always amongst the newest in the industry.

  • Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 B1 five-colour printing press with coater and IR drier, running at speeds of up to 18,000 sheets per hour.
    • Max sheet size: 720mm x 1020mm
    • Max image size: 700mm x 1000mm
  • Komori SPICA 429P B2 four-colour printing press, with two-back-two perfecting capability.
    • Max sheet size: 520mm x 720mm
    • Max image area: 500mm x 700mm
Finishing

A comprehensive equipment base of the latest finishing equipment allows our finishing operators to produce an amazing variety of configurations of finished work. The high standard of printing we produce is complemented by attention to detail in finishing operations. Our finishing plant comprises:

  • Guillotine: Heidelberg Polar 115EM with flowline
  • Folding:
    • MBO T800/644 folder (B1 continuous feeder with presser/stacker)
    • MBO B26/444 folder (B1/Lega with presser/stacker)
  • Stitching: Heidelberg ST100 6 station plus cover feed; option of two loop wire stitching
  • Ram bundling
  • Drill x 4 heads
Delivery
  • Delivery is one of the most important-yet commonly overlooked--keys to a successful print job. Throughout your order we will work to your agreed deadlines and our sales and estimating staff will keep you fully up-to-date.
  • Steffprint maintains its own fleet of vans. Our vehicles are unmarked for confidential deliveries to trade clients.
  • All of our drivers are polite and highly presentable. Whether they are delivering to you or directly to your customers they will create a good impression.
  • Good transport links from our factory means quick delivery to Bradford, Leeds and Yorkshire. We also frequently deliver to customers further afield both in the UK and overseas.
Outwork

Steffprint provides more services in-house than commonly seen in the industry. Where outwork is needed our partners and suppliers are chosen very carefully, and we hold them to the same standards of quality and timeliness that we adopt ourselves. Outwork is always inspected when it comes back in-house to ensure it meets our high standards. Some of the more common types of outwork that our customers require are listed below.

  • Specialist hand finishing
  • Laminating, foil blocking and UV varnishing

  • Perfect binding and specialist folding
Miscellaneous

Steffprint have a fully networked management information system built for the printing industry. This allows us to serve our customers more efficiently, with accurate records of jobs and estimates at our fingertips.

We take a proactive approach to security. Our premises are secured with heavy-grade fencing and we operate CCTV to ensure the safety of the site, employees and our customers.
